Krank Cycles FIRE Relief Fund

Aloha everyone! We are Krank Cycles and have proudly been serving Maui since 2013.

On the early morning hours of January 23 we were awoken at our residence by the MPD. A dumpster outside of our Makawao shop was on fire and the flames were working their way onto the building. Thankfully no one was injured and the Maui Fire Department did an amazing job putting the fire out quickly.

However, we did sustain both fire and smoke damage throughout our shop. We are still waiting to get a full assessment of the damages but we are estimating them to be about 100k. Unfortunately, insurance is only covering 25k. Currently, we are doing our best to get things moved to a temporary location next door (our Kahului location is still open).

Maui has always shown up when we needed (you guys helped us build 500 bikes for the Boys and Girls club in 2 days!) But asking for help for ourselves is not in our nature. We know times are tough for everyone too. But we are looking for just a little bit of help to get things cleaned up and open while we figure out the next steps. We are grateful for anything you can give. And we promise to build back better and pay it forward to the community through our Maui Bike Missions and annual holiday bike build.
