Hello, my name is Hannah and I am raising funds for A Place to Grow Childcare in Topsham, Maine. Our family has attended this daycare center since 2017, not long after it opened in 2016. Both of my kids love APTG, and it has been a really important place for our family.

Last week, APTG found out that a contractor for the company likely misused funds from the business. While they track down their misused accounts, pursue potential legal actions against their contracting company, cooperate with the IRS, and get back on their feet, the center is in desperate need of cash support. The center is still operating, and all of the wonderful teachers are still showing up every day, but they cannot overcome this financial challenge without help. That's what I'm asking you for today.

Please donate to help this amazing, locally run small business stay afloat. If we, as a community, can buy them the time they need to return to sustainability we will:

-Keep a dozen amazing teachers employed, rather than having them lose their jobs. These providers care for kids with so much love, and joy, and patience.

-Maintain care for over 30 children ages 0-6. Leaving the teachers and the school they know and love would be so difficult for them, many of whom have been at APTG since infancy.

-Ensure that dozens of families can continue to have reliable childcare. As we all know, when daycares close, parents have to leave the workforce to care for their kids. There are no openings in other centers. If this daycare closes, the impacts will be immediate and difficult.

Funds will be used for the basics- payroll, rent, utilities, supplies. In the meantime, by continuing to provide childcare and charge fees, they will return to a balanced budget.

We cannot allow the fraudulent acts of this person to take down this business, which has operated successfully for nearly 8 years. We can't allow this person to ruin dozens of people's livelihoods. Please give what you can.
