My name is Pablo Negrete, some of you know me as Mr. P. and this is my story:
When I was a child, I recall feeling extremely thirsty to the point that no amount of water could satisfy my thirst. As the years went by, I continued with this issue until I reached the age of 25. I was rushed to ER where it was discovered that I was a diabetic. This marked the beginning of my health journey. Nearly 25 years later, here I am with complete renal failure requiring Dialysis four times per week, congestive heart failure at 20% function, high blood pressure, failing eyesight, neuropathy and a whole list of underlying complications. I am currently on the list for kidney transplant since I became ill. Unfortunately, my health is too compromised to handle a surgery of this magnitude. In order to be a candidate for a transplant, I have to be in good health so my body can withstand the trauma. I found a surgeon in San Diego who specializes in holistic medicine. The doctor explained to me that he can help me restore my pancreas, heart, blood pressure back to health. The treatment begins with a series of protein shots over a course of 7 months. Then follow stem cell therapy in intervals of 3-4 months as needed. As you can imagine, I feel a great sense of hope that my health will be restored. I am convinced that this doctor will be my salvation. I would love nothing more than to return to my students, my colleges, my friends of many years and continue working alongside the many children who have touched my life. I am so blessed, I thank God every day for giving me the strength to carry on. Honestly its very difficult for me at times to get out of bed as my legs don’t seem be cooperate with me as much anymore, but I keep my faith front and center. I am hoping that by sharing my story it will give you a glimpse of my struggles and my desire to live.
