Hello! My name is Joe. My dear friend Jeff is scheduled to have a kidney transplant on February 19, 2025. His wife Crystal is the donor!! The surgery will be taking place at MUSC and they will have to stay in Charleston for at least 2 weeks upon release from the hospital. They were told to bring two caregivers each. So, in a little over a week, Jeff and Crystal along with their caregivers will head to Charleston SC for over two weeks. I recently took part in a fundraiser to help generate funds to help cover the cost of the trip. We did well, but nowhere as well as I had hoped for. I spoke to Jeff yesterday and he explained that he had an Airbnb booked. When he told me the price for the stay, I nearly fell out of my chair, but soon realized, this is for two patients in recovery and 4 caregivers. I immediately wanted to help more. At the rate the house is costing, what we raised already won’t last long. I want to cover the cost of the house and food, travel etc. I don’t want any of them to worry about a thing while they are going through this and simply concentrate on their recovery. So please, if you can and if you will, help me raise a little bit more for Jeff and his HERO of a wife!! We all thank you in advance.
