Hi everyone. Thank you for making it this far and helping me spread my dads story. He would never ask for help on his own (which is why he doesn't know about this) so its my turn to take care of him, like he has for me. He was a single dad going to Girl Scout meetings, hosting slumber parties and going to cheer practice. He kept a family of 5 children afloat while my sister battled cancer. He truly is the most deserving person in the world.

In 2023, he found out he was in kidney failure and would likely need a transplant. In 2024 those fears were confirmed and he bagan dialysis and the matching process. I knew immediately that I would give him both my kidneys if they would let me. Thankfully, after months of testing for both of us, we have set a date for surgery to get my dad back to the healthy life he deserves to live.

Unfortunately, due to his compromised immune system, he had to quit working to stay healthy enough for transplant. After transplant his wife (who is mom to me now) will need to stay home with him 24/7 for a few weeks to make sure he is completely cared for. It would be my dream to pay their rent and hopefully other bills for that time and give my dad one less thing to worry about so he can focus on healing from this life saving transplant.
