Greg has been battling with chronic kidney disease since 2018. He was fully dependent on hemodialysis which his wife Myrna was trained to do at home for him 5 days a week. On August 27th 2023, Greg got what we all thought was the life saving phone call. Saskatoon had a kidney waiting for him. Although Greg and his family knew there was a long road ahead until Greg would be fully healed no one expected what the last 4 months has brought. Since the transplant he has had numerous visits to the hospital, 4 of those being in Saskatoon for weeks on end. In total he has only been home 14 days over the last 4 months. He has had infection after infection and every possible complication. At times he goes septic. Needless to say this is taking a toll on Greg and his family, physically, emotionally and financially. We are asking for help as we have to go back to Saskatoon today (Dec 18) for more tests and possibly another surgery. This journey was supposed to be a happy one to a new chance at life, but instead it has been a nightmare causing nothing but grief and has been financially draining. We are hoping to raise enough funds to support his wifes accomadtions and travels as well as immediate family so they can be with Greg over christmas. If you are able to donate anything helps and is very much appreciated.
