Kidney Transplant for Mike Eberhardt
Donation protected
If you're an Aurora native, there's a good chance you know my grandpa - Mike Eberhardt! My grandpa was born and raised here and dedicated 44 years to the City of Aurora before retiring in 2014.
My grandpa has always been a hard-working, family man. With two kids, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren - he's always been there for every recital, sports game, music program, birthday party, and much much more! He even walked me down the aisle on my wedding day.
Unfortunately, he has stage 5 kidney disease and currently waiting for a kidney transplant.
He was evaluated by specialists at the University of Nebraska Medical Transplant Center in November of 2021. The specialists there determined that he's an excellent candidate to be put on the transplant list!
But in order to placed on the transplant list, there are a lot of monetary requirements. The first requirement is to have $3,500 available in savings for housing after the transplant. It is required that he stays in Omaha at leat 6 weeks after the transplant in case there are any complications.
The second requirement is a dental examination to make absolutely certain there is no dental infection. It's also required that any dental work be completed prior to being placed on the transplant list. Unfortunately, he has some dental work that needs done that estimated to be least $1,500.
I can't think of someone who deserves this more than my grandpa. A chance to live a longer and healthier life and to gain a few more years to watch and enjoy his great grandchildren.
Any monetary help and support you can give my Grandpa is so incredibly appreciated! If you could give this a share, that would also be so helpful!
