Hi, everyone. My name is John Macadangdang Taliwaga. I'm making fundraising for my sister-in-law in the Philippines for her kidney transplant.
My sister-in-law, Marina Magbag, has chronic kidney disease (CKD) stage 5, secondary to an illness called Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). An autoimmune disease that has no known cause and no cure. She's been on a three-times-a-week hemodialysis for almost 4 years now. Her doctor's advice and recommendation is to have a kidney transplant. At her young age (37), she loves to live longer and live a more fulfilling life. Please help us to raise funds to pursue her kidney transplant and for her to live a normal life again. Thank you. Please include her in your prayers. God bless you all!
.....For more details about her condition, I just want to attach here her short story and humble request letter for financial support and earnest prayer.
Hi everyone. My name is Marina S. Magbag, I am 37 years old and from Quezon City, Philippines. I have Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) stage 5, secondary to an illness called Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). It's an autoimmune disease that has no known cause and no cure. I have been on three times a week hemodialysis for almost 4 years now. Doctors would always say and recommend a kidney transplant for me since that’s the only solution to my health condition. According to my doctors, I am a good candidate for a kidney transplant given my young age and health status. I would love to live a longer and live more fulfilling life. Unfortunately, kidney transplant here in the Philippines is too pricey and requires a big amount of money. My family and I have been struggling financially since 2018 when I started dialysis. I lost my job because of my condition and my family has a limited source of income also. I survive each session of dialysis by seeking help from our government which is very minimal and too exhausting for a patient like me. Since my body is deteriorating physically, I become weaker. I always get hospitalized which made things worse, emotionally, mentally and most of all financially. I would love to live a normal life again and I am doing everything to pursue my kidney transplant a few months from now. I am more than grateful that I have a sister who is very much willing to donate her kidney for me. We have started some of the few steps in the transplant process already but we need more financial help to finish and accomplish everything. We are about to start our work up, laboratory tests, procedures, and other requirements for the transplant. And so we are proactively looking for many ways to support my transplant operation. I am humbly asking and requesting your help to raise funds for my kidney transplant. The total cost of a kidney transplant here in the Philippines ranges from $20,000 to $25,000. It is a huge amount of money, indeed. The target date of my operation is in May 2023. I am determined to push through with my kidney transplant. I believe that prayers and a little help even from a stranger can carry me through this ordeal. If you also know any organizations that extend help to SLE and CKD patients like me, your referral is much appreciated. I know God has bigger plans for me and He will pull me through this trial. May you be God’s vessel of love and blessings as I go through this kidney transplant process. Your little help can extend my life. God has the best plan for our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you hope and future." Praise God! I would love to live a longer and live more fulfilling life. God bless your good and kind heart.
Thank you so much!
