Hi! My name is Franny, and most of you know my husband Jeff by the name he's been called by students, friends and coworkers for years, 'El Jefe." He is a lifelong Youth Pastor that has poured his heart and life into teenagers across 3 states and around the world, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Now it is time to ask for a little help and love from those that we know, and possibly those we don't.

In March of 2021. Jeff was diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney failure. This was most likely caused by a combination of Type 2 Diabetes and complications of Covid19. He was extremely sick and we had a few close calls. It’s been a rough year for sure.  I miss having my best friend at full capacity but I’m thankful that we realized when we did and he’s getting the care he needs to get back to his fully healed self. 

He is currently on dialysis as his kidneys are no longer functioning. However, dialysis is a temporary solution and only works for a short time. Ultimately he needs a new kidney and has begun the process of a kidney transplant and is awaiting approval for the surgery. We are hoping for a living donor as that will allow us to schedule the surgery sooner instead of having to wait for a deceased donor. There’s only a few more things that we need to finish up and then he’s on the list. When we get that call though, we need to be prepared to get him there and take on the financial burden associated with it. 

As you can imagine, the costs associated with this surgery and all that goes with it are astronomical. Thank God that Jeff has good insurance that will pick up a large portion of the surgery however we still need to pay a percentage. And there are a lot of other costs associated with it, such as anti-rejection meds, hotel stay for a month following surgery, wages for me for that time off, food, transportation, recovery costs, etc. 

That is why we are coming to you all with this humble ask for assistance. Both financially and prayerfully. I know this is a large amount (it’s very overwhelming if I think about it too much) so if you can help in any amount, it will be greatly appreciated. If you can not at this time, please share this fundraiser so more are aware of the need. We are also looking for people who might consider being a living Kidney donor as well.
