Kidney transplant for my brother Daryl Hollifield

On behalf of my brother Daryl Hollifield, and his son Rocky, I am creating this go fund me. Daryl has been on dialysis for 8 long years and Rocky who is selflessly giving his kidney to his dad. My brother started the process of getting approved for a transplant a few years ago but wasn't healthy enough at the time because of him having a triple bypass. Last year he had a house fire, and in June of last year lost a beloved grandson, Rocky's baby boy Luke. His brother Tim passed away Nov 2020 & oldest daughter Dara had a house fire in November.
Despite all of the struggles my family has been through, my brother was officially accepted and listed to receive a new kidney. PRAISE GOD! The surgery will take place at UNC Chapel Hill within the next few days or weeks. Daryl will need a caregiver which is his wife Lisa and Rocky will have to have a caretaker for about 2 weeks after his surgery. They are planning on staying a month post surgery at the Secu House in Chapel Hill because Daryl will need to get his levels checked 3-4 times a week to check the progress of his new kidney and to make sure the anti rejection meds are working or needs adjusting. Rocky and Lisa will be without an income for least a month.
All money received will cover Secu house, gas, food and bills related to staying in UNC a month.
