Hi, my name is Zheila Smith, a friend of Chuck Semeit. I'm hoping you can help support Chuck and his family as they crush his kidney transplant.

After 4 years of dialysis, three days a week, heart surgeries, and all the ups and downs that come with kidney disease, a transplant match has been found for our dear friend! Chuck Semeit will get a new kidney from his sister Dana Semeit! They will be undergoing transplant surgery in three weeks. If you've been to the Silver Legacy Wing Fest, you know they have huge hearts and enjoy sharing their love with the rest of us through their award-winning BBQ sauces. They placed 2nd this past weekend at the event.

The financial stress between families, medical bills, post-op housing costs in Phoenix, rental car, gas costs to and from the daily post-op appointments at Mayo, groceries, household expenses, living costs, and missed work for up to 12 weeks will be substantial. Housing in Phoenix is $3k/month (Chuck and family will be there for 8-12 weeks).

Many friends and family have asked how they can contribute to and support this second chance at life, so we are creating this account to help offset the financial burden. Good thoughts and prayers are always welcome.
