Kidney Transplant for Carolyn Bell Nixon

In October of 2015 I was diagnosed with lupus/kidney failure. Going through this journey for 8 years, my condition has deteriorated into resulting for a kidney transplant. I am a patient at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville FL. The cost and expenses for this procedure is overwhelming. I am employed at the Dougherty County Sheriff's Office, where my insurance coverage will cover approximately 80% of the hospital bill. I am reaching out to each of you to help me out with care giver expenses, food, gas, and wages, while they are caring for me. My goal is to raise $20,000 through GoFundMe and other fundraising. $10,000 is for the Mayo Clinic start-up services. The Mayo Clinic will match $10,000 to go towards my balance.
