Hi my name is Jermaine Clement and I’m officially seeking assistance to help me with receiving a kidney .I started Dialysis of April 2021 and this isn’t for the weak; I have to be on the dialysis machine for 4hrs in a day & 3 days a week. It’s draining. And now as well I am a newly leg amputee. The struggle is harder for me. I started a gofundme because im still trying to get financial assistance.. Just have to say it; Our beloved Social Service & government isn’t trying to help me? Its hard for me right now to go back to work due to dialysis and going to physical and occupational therapy the days I don’t have dialysis.. It’s a hinder when social service cut my food assistance to $23 a month after the state stopped giving people extra money from the Covid situation.. I have worked for GoDurhamAccess/First Transit for 27 years and like I said it’s hard for me.. I wish things could’ve been different and I would’ve still be working at the place I loved.. But I can’t? I really need a financial help for medical bills, home expenses and food. The government system seem they rather give money outside the country then really assist the people that’s struggling right here.. Vets, disabled and retired elderly.. That’s emotionally where my stress level is right now & now my case worker said it’s best for me start trying to ask people to help me come up with $5000 or $6000 just for a copay when they call me in for a kidney. But to be honest, I just really need help all the way around. And as well I’m 7 months in being an amputee. My right leg was amputated from my foot to my knee on September 2022 And also I have two toes on my right foot. I have cobra insurance when I lost my job due to my health issues but they don’t or will not cover everything I have never ask for help like this before. So please find it in your heart to give any amount that you can donate to help my cause. It
