Kidney for Kylie
Donation protected
My niece, Kylie Wetzel is thankfully on a short list for a Kidney Transplant, after a lifelong battle with kidney disease. She is a second year Junior at Menlo College. The reason why we are raising money is that her dad Chuck Wetzel, a Master Sgt. USAF, is stationed at Travis Air Force Base, which is in Vacaville CA, hours away from any family.
The majority of her hospital bills will be covered, however, here’s the deal -the hospital (Stanford) is 2 hours away from their home. There is a minimal 6 week recovery period. Kylie, her mom Erin Wetzel, and others will need to stay in a local hotel for this time period. Her dad, Chuck Wetzel, will be traveling back and forth, to help maintain the home front as well as tending to a 15 yr old son, Chuckie and his daily needs.
There will be accruing gas, lodging, meals, bills, etc. piling up. Additionally, there is a new born baby, Chase, who needs to be taken care of. Family members will need to fly out to help cover this area of need.
As you can imagine, the extra expenses will very quickly add up. This is going to be a very difficult time to go through and any help at all will be greatly appreciated. It will be amazing to be able to focus on the recovery of Kylie, not the mounting debt.
Thank you in advance to my friends and family members for your help, prayers and support. I am excited to see what will happen as we pull together for Kylie!
