Hi, Im Kyeisha. I am 32 years old, and I have been on dialysis for three years. My kidneys failed shortly after giving birth to my miracle baby, Judah. I nearly died, but thanks to God I pulled through. After extensive tests and a kidney biopsy, I was diagnosed with thrombotic microangiopathy also known as A-typical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome. I take a chemo-infusion to treat this every 8 weeks ; it will continue even after transplant.

I have been battling autoimmune issues such as rheumatoid arthritis & A.S.S -Antisynthetase syndrome, most of my adult life. If you are unsure of what that syndrome is, I will save you the google search. A.S.S is polymyositis, pulmonary fibrosis & raynaud's. There's nothing else doctors could do for me, besides this transplant. Thank God, I have a living donor cheerfully willing to donate his kidney. This has been a journey full of doctor & hospital visits; we are finally scheduled for transplant on 12/20/21.

I am declared disabled. I retired in 2014 from my military & civilian duties. My husband is my care-taker, he does not get paid to care for me. Therefore, we are in need of financial assistance to get us through the surgery, lodging, travel, food, medical bills, at least the first round of several medications & my husband's time off.
