Kidney for Amber: A Journey of Love and Hope

Donation protected
Hello, our names are Josh and Amber. We are starting this fundraiser in order to help us get through this journey. I (Amber) am in need of a kidney transplant. I have been on dialysis since Oct 2024, waiting to get on the transplant list. We recently found out that the love of my life is a perfect match! In more ways than one. Haha. He is now going through the examination process to make sure he is healthy enough to donate. He will be out of work while he recovers. Your donation will help cover the expenses while I focus on getting better and he gets back on his feet.

Our origin story: To keep things short, we are high school sweethearts (14 years). We've been through thick and thin. Hospital stays (Amber has cystic fibrosis), a double lung transplant 5 years ago, and a lot of love. We've always remembered to be grateful no matter how hard things have gotten.

Josh:
The life we have made together is simply beautiful. I wouldn't take back one moment. All I want is the opportunity to live my life with the most amazing, beautiful, generous woman I have ever met. When I found out that I was a match, it was like a direct message from God letting me know that I chose the right path in life. Please help me help Amber and let us get back on track to help others. After her transplant, we can go back to our life mission of fostering children. We are still new to it. We have only had the one amazing opportunity to foster two little boys before Amber's kidneys started to fail, so we had to put fostering on pause while we get Amber back to health.

Amber:
Josh has truly shown me what it means to go through sickness and health together, and now knowing he wants to do something so selfless doesn't surprise me one bit. He would go to the ends of the earth for me, and as I would for him. I don't know what I did to deserve such an amazing person to be by my side and doing life with. I've not had an easy life, but despite everything, it's made me who I am, and I feel so blessed. I can't wait to get this transplant so we can go back to our "normal" lives. I miss being a foster parent and can't wait to help other future children.
