Kidney Dialysis Emergency

My name is Chantal.  I am raising funds to help medically support My sister in law.

 

My sister in law Tanya has been struggling with Sickle Cell Disease for many years. 

 

Over the past several weeks, Tanya’s condition has become life threatening. Her kidney’s are unfortunately failing and attempting to operate at a mere 4%.

 

Until a donor can be secured, Tanya requires immediate kidney dialysis twice a week to simply keep her alive. The cost for the 2 weekly dialysis treatment is $400 CAD.

 

Our family has been actively supporting the cost associated with her medical care  but financially it’s very difficult, as Jamaica’s health care system is not publicly funded. Tanya must pay out of pocket for any medical procedures and expenses. As you can imagine, the weekly cost has been a real challenge for family/friends to manage.

 

We are reaching out to our communities within Jamaica as well as here in Canada. 

 

Any donation that someone can spare literally means the difference between life and death for Tanya.
