I’ve been battling serious issues with my left kidney for the past three months. It’s been a long, painful road — from multiple prescriptions and two ER visits to surgery, complications with a stent, and more. There have been days when, medicated, I could push through and there have been stretches where I was hospitalized/bed ridden.

A single medical event can truly devastate a single mom. I am not aware of any ministry or non-profit focused on assisting single mothers.

This is incredibly hard for me to share, because I’m not someone who easily asks for help. I’ve always been independent. I work hard — three jobs — to provide the life my son deserves. I believe in caring for one another, and I know that’s biblical, but asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me.

Despite everything I’ve faced, my short-term disability claim was shockingly denied. I’ve lost a significant amount of income, and that loss has hit hard. It’s incredibly frustrating because none of this was in my control.

I’m deeply embarrassed to post this — it’s so far out of my comfort zone — but I truly need help covering my expenses during this time. Thank you for your compassion, understanding, and any support you’re able to give.
