Hello, My name is Kendra. I am battling stage 5 kidney disease. I have been on dialysis for over 7yrs now and counting. I loss my kidney function due to having high blood pressure for many years while not knowing.. Just a little bit about what happened: One day in 2015 my son was pushing on my thigh and I noticed a dent (edema) and it concerned me so I went to the hospital and I was told I would need emergency dialysis. This was terrible news for me because I didn’t understand what was happening and why! So I immediately started dialysis after receiving surgery to place a port in my neck and also surgery to place a fistula for permanent dialysis. I was in ICU 50xs in 2019 from heart failure, blood clots in my lungs, Chronic BP! This has been my life for 5 long years. Depression, Anxiety and Stress is just the minimum of what has happened during this time but I am just praying for better days and educating others in the process to prevent others from having to fight this horrible disease. Having to do dialysis 3 days a week which causes me to be weak, tired & in pain most days. Being a mother of 3 is hard. I’ve created this account to assist with financial help until then.
