Kidnapped 8 year old child in need of HELP

Hi, my name is Marco Battistotti, and I am the father of an 8 1/2-year-old son (Leo) born in Connecticut who was kidnapped by his mother two years ago. While at the beginning I thought the mother was just absconding within Connecticut I duly filed for a Motion for Contempt asking for court intervention. COVID delayed the hearing until the mother re-emerged by email stating that she had permanently moved to Palma de Mallorca, Spain, with no intention of ever returning. The U.S. State Department was immediately activated along with the FBI, who shortly after determined that the mother committed the crime of International Parental Kidnapping under USC18 Sec. 1204, and uploaded the case to the U.S. Attorney's Office where a prosecutor was appointed. Fast forward, civil remedies under the Hague Convention failed as Spain determined that in the past two years the child has legally established habitual in Spain and they would not order his return. As far as the criminal aspect of the kidnapping, the U.S. Prosecutor recently declined to issue an international arrest warrant for the mother, literally violating my rights under the Equal Clause Protection of the 14th Amendment of the U.S.

At this juncture, I have no other option than to go to the U.S. Attorney's Office and not leave until I receive the reassurance of an arrest warrant, facing arrest if not leaving the premise when asked. If arrested I will start a hunger strike until proper action will be taken.

At the same time, I need to retain counsel in Spain to file a Motion for Visitation to access the child through an expert counsel in international child kidnapping. The cost of this action is $145,000 which I cannot afford.

In the best interest of the child, I am reaching out to you all for financial help as my son deserves a normal life, and not to become a fugitive by default.
