My brother-in-law has been awaiting a heart transplant for just over five years now. He is very close to receiving his heart and needs a tremendous amount of help for his aftercare expenses etc. 100% of the donations will go towards uncovered medical expenses such as anti-rejection medicine, travel and boarding when staying outside of the hospitals confines. Also God willing, he will perform well with his new heart and be able to enroll in the world wide transplant games where he would like to compete in golf , his number one love. Friends and family have been a tremendous support team, but we need your help to raise as much money as possible for his aftercare. Thank you in advance for your time and support of my brother in law's fight.

Charlie Nemitz 48 Stuart, Florida
Growing up in Stuart, Charlie liked to fish, surf, sail, dive, golf, play baseball, pretty much anything and everything that Florida had to offer! He, like a lot of kids, grew up working in construction, and also the restaurant industry to help pay for his summer fun. After graduation he continued to work in both fields, from Florida to New York City, and everywhere in between. After many years of moving around he settled back in to Stuart, Fl. Where at 40 just after leaving a corporate construction company, he started working for himself building cabinets, and doing remodeling, and kitchen and bathroom installations. For the next few years business was very good, and like most every other company, he didn't turn anything down and worked far too many hours. This ended up causing him to overlook himself in a variety of ways. First he let a wisdom tooth to crack, and the toxins unknowingly went through the bloodstream to the heart. Now at the same time he came down with pneumonia and bronchitis. Now as luck would have it, he also contracted toxic mold ingestion on a job site that when combined with everything else as his cardiologist said, caused the perfect storm! This combination of misfortunes caused a virus that attacked his heart, bringing on congestive heart failure, non ischemic cardiomyopathy, AFIB, VTAC, basically a myriad of issues causing his heart to fail, and the doctors at Martin Memorial Hospital to tell him that he needed a HEART TRANSPLANT!!! This happened when he was 43 years old in July 2013, and completely devastated him. He went from being able to go a million miles an hour, to being told that he couldn't do anything at all and put on a milrinone pump to keep his heart working. Well flash forward over 5 years now, and he is still waiting for a transplant. During the past 5 plus years he has endured a lot of issues and setbacks leading him to be implanted with an LVAD machine. (mechanical heart pump) Even with the LVAD, and Milrinone pump, he still tries to maximize the good days by getting outside and living life to the fullest. During the past few years Charlie has been mentoring others that are going through the same process of waiting on a transplant! During the years He has also learned about the Transplant Games of America, which is the Olympics for transplant patients. Hopefully after Transplant, and rehabilitation Charlie plans to compete in golf for Team Florida, then hopefully for Team USA in the World Games God willing! He also hopes to be able to one day start up a food company making sauces and a variety of different food items that in theory wont be that much of a stress on his new heart! In the mean time he is trying to live life to the fullest taking advantage of every day that he is feeling well enough to get outside and God willing one day soon he will get his transplant.
