Kickstart The Fejes Foundation

My name is Hunter Fejes. I’ve been a professional hockey player for the past 7 years and I thought that would be my main passion in life. My perspective changed when I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma at the age of 28. After 4 cycles of rigorous chemotherapy and uncertainty I decided to try to give others the fighting chance I was blessed with. In October of 2022 I earned the opportunity to ring the bell and return to the ice as I was officially in remission. Looking around at the other patients still being infused with what feels like poison, I couldn’t just walk out of that door and not use my resources to help others walk a better journey down this dark path. This is why I am creating The Fejes Foundation. I strive to help build a fighting chance for people diagnosed with cancer along with organizations such as The Cancer Research Institute and Moffitt Cancer Center of Florida. I cannot wait to put my determination and drive that I base in hockey, into something bigger than me. Stay tuned for the fine details that are yet to come, however, this GoFundMe page has been created to kickstart this foundation and raise some money to get it going. All donations are recognized and greatly appreciated. The near future of this foundation will include sports tournaments, such as golf and hockey, to help raise awareness and donations for the awesome cause of cancer research.
