In October 2021, Dana and I created a woodworking business, Oakdog Woodworking.

At age 7, my dad's wood shop left an impression on me, everything from the smell of cigars to the click of cassette tapes and the aromatic sawdust lingering in the air. I would gaze in awe of the tools, their power, and the craft from his hand. I would bring different project ideas to build together; he taught me how to be safe in the shop and find joy in my craft.

Fast forward 24 years, I met my wife, and we began to dream up projects together. In our first year of marriage, we wanted to furnish our place and quickly realized how expensive and poorly made current furniture could be. We desired to purchase quality items that would last a lifetime, yet most products we found were inauthentic and mass-produced.

Over the past two years, we've worked with over 50 clients for projects ranging from handcrafted cutting boards and bowls to custom office furniture, coffee tables, end tables, bedroom sets, and even a full kitchen cabinet remodel.

At Oakdog Woodworking, we craft with a passion for creating beautiful pieces of natural wood that will last a lifetime. As of October 2023, I have decided to pursue woodworking and carpentry as a full-time small business owner. To achieve this vision, we need your support in a variety of ways:
