To me, Gold medals symbolise hard work, dedication and discipline. I, Jago (17), recently
won 4 Gold medals at the South African National Championships and 2 gold at the WAKO
African Continental Championships in Kickboxing. I got my National colours and am eligible
to compete internationally to represent South Africa. Any money raised will go towards my
coach and I both attending Belgium in September for the Flanders International Kickboxing
cup. Plus I am a junior chosen to go to the WAKO Seniors World Championships in Abu
Dhabi in November.
Why support me ?
I am not one that likes being centre of attention, so this is not bragging or boasting but I have
won over 100 medals and over 20 trophies over the years, it shows I am serious about this
sport. I have been chosen a few times to represent South Africa, but with my latest awesome
coach, Sensei Chayse Norris, I believe now is my time.
I have wished it, I have dreamt it, please help me go do it. Every tenner counts!
What will the money be used for?
For 2 competitions for me and my coach (where necessary):
Competition fees, National fighting kit and tracksuits
Flights and visa fees
Accommodation, transport fees to venue, food and drinks etc.
Please start donating what you can. We have deposits to pay to secure my place in the
team.
My dyslexia taught me through hard work everything is possible.
I will train hard. I will give it my ALL, I promise.
Thank you, Jago
