Kickoff For a Cure attacks Cancer
Donation protected
This summer our friend, Brett Katz, was diagnosed with a chondrosarcoma, a rare form of cancer, at age 15. He was lucky to discover this in the early stages, and underwent an extensive operation at Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center. During this procedure his tumor was removed, and he was given a donor elbow. We are happy to say that Brett is now cancer-free and continues to work on his rehabilitation. The charity chosen is Memorial Sloane Kettering - Limb Preservation Fund. This charity funds bone and cartilage tumors and will give others like Brett the opportunity to fight these rare types of cancer.
