I am a very good friend of Kara. She is a single mom of three children, and I have some information and a huge favor to ask you.

Kara Lund is a very hardworking and fun loving person, and a friend to all she meets. Last month she was given a life changing moment. She was diagnosed with stage 3 uterine cancer and  is scheduled to have surgery within a week, with chemo to begin as soon as possible after that.

Kara is employed as a School Counselor at a Middle School, but was recently told that she will not be returning to her position next year.  Additionally and sadly, she will not only not have a job, but not have health insurance at the end of this school year. She needs our assistance!

For those that know Kara, you know she is a loyal friend, family member, sister, and mother. She will go above and beyond to help others, but is very stubborn to ask for help for herself or her kids! So I am asking for your help for her!

While I have set a lofty goal for fundraising, I hope we can attain it. Our hope is to raise enough funds so that Kara can concentrate on getting well and not worry about her medical expenses. 

Please give what you can and forward this message so that we can help her through this time of need. Funds raised will go towards supporting her and her family and medical costs until such time we can secure coverage for her.  We all know what normal medical expenses can be and know cancer surgery and treatment can be astronomical.
