Kicking for a Kause - WCYS Soccer

Donation protected
The Bucks F.C. a Wise County Youth Soccer (WCYS) team is headed to The Gatlinburg College Showcase Kickoff Tournament Veterans Day weekend, Nov. 10-12 in Gatlinburg Tennessee.

The tournament is specifically for college coaches to come scout kids from all over the country.

Jack Wayland and Ryan Bolling have volunteered as coaches for the team for the past 10 years. They are trying to raise money to pay for lodging during the tournament and to buy matching uniforms for the team.

Wayland and Bolling's goal is to help some of these kids get noticed at the tournament ultimately resulting in possible opportunities to land a scholarship - athletic or academic.

The coaches have already raised the $825 tournament fee.

This is the first select U18 coed travel team made up of players from Wise County, Lee County and Dickenson County which is located in southwest Virginia in the heart of the Appalachian mountains.

Many of these kids live in an underserved area in the coalfield region where the main source of income was the coal mines, which have now almost all been shut down. Unfortunately, many of their parents have been forced out of work and have lost their health insurance over the past few years. Several of these parents are on welfare and working two jobs just to get by.

Help the coaches and the WCYS team represent their community and get to the tournament. Anything will help!

Thank you for your time and consideration.
