Kicking Colorectal Cancer with Kim!

On Wednesday April 17th, my Aunt Kim (Moore) Haggy’s life took an unexpected turn. She was diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer.  Anyone who knows Kim knows that she is always willing to help others. Well now it is time for us to help her.  She is a wonderful single mother to her 12-year-old daughter, Destiny, and helps care for 70-year-old mother.  She is the sole provider for all three and does not receive any child support or assistance.

 

Kim will start chemo on June 3rd.  She will have a pump that pumps 96 hours of chemo into her system the first week all while going to radiation daily. The last week she will receive another 96 hours of chemo.  This will bring her total to 192 hours of chemo and 28 radiation treatments over the next 6 weeks.  There will also be testing, and scans done regularly and over the course of the next 2 years to monitor her progress.   She needs our help with medical bills, co-pays, medicine, and any other unforeseeable expenses.  It is unknown yet how much she will be able to work or if there will be complications from treatment.
