Avery’s kicking cancer’s butt...round two!
I’m starting this on behalf of my sweet little niece Avery. This little girl is hands down the toughest person I know and she has already had to endure more than most people do their whole lives.
On Friday, February 19th Avery under went a bone marrow test which confirmed our family’s worst fear that her leukemia has returned. This time around requires Avery to initially spend the fist month in patient for more aggressive chemo treatments. After this Avery will need a bone marrow transplant at Seattle children’s hospital where she will be very closely monitored for months afterwards.
With all this time inpatient my brother Josh and his wife Jenna are having to split their time together so that one of them can be at the hospital with Avery while the other is home caring for their two boys, Aaron and Ethan.
This poor family has been through hell already and they’re so strong! Avery’s second diagnoses and needed treatments will undoubtedly put a huge financial and emotional strain on her parents while they are fighting hard for their family.
