Kicking Cancers Ass (Part 2)

Hi All,

If you know me at all, then you will know I have a best friend called Rob. Robert William Stanger, to give his full name. Together, he and I, plus a host of our other friends, grew up in and around Leyton from the 1980’s onwards. Those who know Rob will agree he is handsome, articulate, (extremely) funny and generally a joy to be around. But why am I telling you this?

In 2013 Rob was diagnosed with cancer of the tongue. This particular strand of cancer was extremely rare, and Rob was told that he needed to undergo a major invasive operation and several rounds of radiotherapy to beat it. Rob being the no-nonsense guy he is, did just that. His determination and all-round positive mindset were inspirational to all those who love him, and with the support of a loving family and group of friends, Rob kicked Cancer's Ass.

However, a few weeks ago, Rob was told cancer had reared its ugly head again.

Rob is now preparing for an all-out war on cancer. Wars are not won in a day, and I need the help of all those reading this. I am asking all of his family, friends, colleagues, ex-colleagues, schoolmates, uni mates, and old football team mates to pledge what you can to help support Rob on this journey. Every penny you donate will go towards caring for Rob during these difficult times, giving him comforts on the bad days and providing the best medical solutions possible to help.

I know Rob can fight this, and I am asking all of you to please help my best friend.

Like in 2013, Rob is in a determined frame of mind and in good spirits, and I am sure he would appreciate any words of support and positivity at this time. So feel free to check in with him; he would be glad to hear from you and your positive, upbeat messages of support.
