Help Zander kick Cancer in the Bass-
Zander is a bright, adventurous almost 13 yr old with the biggest heart and an unshakable love for fishing and the outdoors. Whether it’s casting a line, setting bait, or trolling the lakes Zander’s happy place is always on the water surrounded by nature, peace, and his family.
Nearly three years ago, Zander and his family’s world turned upside down when they were faced with the unimaginable. After what they thought was a stomach bug escalated to an ER trip which resulted in a 2-week admission, Zander was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. Since then, he has endured more than any child should ever have to. The countless hospital visits, radiation, chemo, surgery, biopsies, scans, so many needle pokes…etc. Yet through it all Zander remains strong, smiling, hopeful, and determined to get better.
The next step in his journey is to fly across country to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to meet with an Oncologist that specializes in Sarcomas for a formal second opinion and case review on September 12th. The second opinion is a promising opportunity but also comes with extra planning, coordinating, logistics, and finances. This GoFundMe is to help ease the extra burden and stress. Your support will help cover travel and lodging expenses, medical costs, treatments, meals, and daily essentials. Any contribution will help Zander‘s family focus on taking care of themselves, their two daughters, while focusing on Zander’s care. They didn’t ask for help. We asked them to let us do this for them. They both work extremely hard and are such amazing parents. So let’s rally around this incredible boy and his family during the toughest fight of their lives. Thank you for being a part of Zander’s journey.
