My name is Sally and I'm looking to fundraise for my kitten's surgery that saved his life. Details below

Kitten boy (Kibo for short) was found on the middle of the road during a storm in July 2021 when he was just a couple of weeks old. My friend fostered him and bottle-fed him when he was a baby. Unfortunately, no one else could take him, so he fell into my arms and my heart in September 2021.

He grew up so much over the rest of 2021. He loves playing with unshelled almonds, sitting in any open box available,

watching birds out of the window, harassing people for a bite of their food, doing kitty parkour, and cuddling with his big sister Freya.

On February 16, 2022, he threw up a lot and refused to eat, so I brought him to the vet. They found a piece of thread wrapped around his tongue. They cut it off and did X-rays that showed the string was obstructing his GI tract. The vet told me he needed emergency surgery, or I had to start thinking about euthanasia. The surgery was quoted to me as $4000-$5000. My dear friend loaned me some of the money, and the rest I put on Care Credit. He is still very much a kitten, and I couldn't imagine having his little life cut short just because I couldn't afford it at that moment in time. He means a lot to me and brings a lot of joy and laughter into my house and my heart.

He's in recovery now and is doing great, all things considered. He has been eating and is in high spirits, although he's angry that he's confined to my room.
