Kiara’s Dog Attack recovery

Hi everyone, I’m fundraising for my niece Kiara Rivera’s recovery. She has been through a traumatic experience and had emergency surgery from a dog attack and will be home for some time per her Drs orders.
The other night my niece was watching cheaper by the dozen 2 with her mommy brother and nina Joyce after eating a yummy home cooked meal (her moms a great cook sometimes). This was a normal family night to them. That day a family friend of ours dog was there while our friend figured out her families moving situation. My sister has a big heart and will always help anyone in need…Later on everyone was in the living room watching the movie and Kiara was using the phone laying on top of her mommy…the dog was laying down on floor calmly showing no signs of aggression. Out of no where the dog turned around and attacked her face viciously. It was the most horrific scene they’ve ever seen, our beautiful princess was mauled on the side of her face. We thank god the dog did not lock on to her face or aim for the neck as it could have been worse than it already is.
They rushed to the hospital and the Dr was amazed how strong Kiara was. Kiara then tells her mommy “at least my silver tooth didn’t come out” … We want to thank the team and surgeons at Kaiser Permanente.
Even after all that on the way to Surgery Kiara was singing frozen…Everyone who knows Kiara knows how strong and sweet she is. It breaks my heart to see her going through this. I just want to see her smile and dance again.
My sister Danielle is the only provider and single mother of her two children and will have to stay home with Kiara for the recovery. We as a family are going to help as much as we can but today I’m reaching out because Kiara needs her mom more than ever right now. With limited sick days I don’t want any further stress for my sister and her daughter so I’m asking for help from all our family and friends so my sister can be there through this time for recovery and not stress about upcoming expenses (medical, therapy, etc).
PLEASE if you have a pit bull or any dog please train it with love and patience
PLEASE do not get big dogs if you can not take care of it
PLEASE stop using animals for violence or creating violent households for any dogs
We are lovers of pit bulls in this family. We just pray no one else has to experience this.
