Kiara's College Tuition Fundraiser

My name is Kiara Liggons, and I'm an upcoming freshman at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD-Atlanta campus) for the Fall of 2022 as a film major. I recently graduated in December of 2021 with an associate's degree in Film and Television from Southern Crescent Technical College, and I will graduate from Spalding High School on May 26, 2022. This fundraiser is to help cover the remaining cost of my tuition at SCAD and the estimated fees associated with this GoFundMe fundraiser.

Since being accepted and committing to SCAD, my family’s financial situation changed. My brother was diagnosed with Philadelphia Chromosome Positive B-ALL, a rare subtype of leukemia, in September of 2021. With this diagnosis and providing continuous care, my mother had to take an extended leave from her job as an educator for the remainder of the school year. Due to the absence of her income, my attendance at SCAD is now in jeopardy.

Any donation towards my tuition will be greatly appreciated and beneficial to my success in attending Savannah College of Art & Design.
