Help My Daughter Heal After a Devastating Injury at a River Cats Game
Story:
On may 13 our lives were forever changed. My 17-year-old daughter, Kiara was attending a River Cats baseball game when a foul ball struck her directly in the eye. What was supposed to be a fun, family evening quickly turned into a medical emergency.
She sustained a fractured orbital socket, a concussion, and a traumatic brain bleed. She was rushed to the hospital and has been under close medical care ever since. While we are beyond grateful that she is alive, her recovery journey will be long and challenging.
She now faces months—possibly years—of healing, including:
• Neurological and cognitive therapy
• Vision rehabilitation
• Follow-up imaging and specialist visits
• Potential surgery
• Medications and mental health support
• Transportation to and from medical appointments
Unfortunately, many of these treatments are not fully covered by insurance, and the financial strain on our family is growing. We are reaching out for help to ease the burden and ensure Kiara receives the care she urgently needs.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly to her medical and recovery expenses. If you’re unable to give, we would be so grateful if you could share this page with your friends and family.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
