Hello! For those of you who may not know me, my name is Kianna Hedmann. I am currently a college student at Saddleback University. I am an older sister of three and blessed to be a daughter to two loving parents.

Throughout my college years, I have been struggling to find my calling as to what I wanted to do in my future; however, in the past year, I have discovered a passion for learning Korean langauge and Korean culture which has completely shifted my life.

I began self studying Korean at home, and with the help of my fellow korean colleagues and friends about a year ago. I had no idea that beginning to learn this language would lead me to find a very strong passion and fire within myself that I wanted to nurture and feed.

I knew that I wanted to continue down this journey and I thought, "where better to learn Korean than the Capital of South Korea itself, Seoul". I started doing my research on good programs and educational tours that would allow me to travel across the globe and continue my studies. My research lead me to "EF International Educational Tours" which is who I will be traveling with Sept. 2023 till March 2024.

Traveling to Seoul, South Korea for schooling is no inexpensive feat. In order to help my parents, I have completely taken on the financial responsibility of paying for the entire school year, any and all other school expenses, and basic funding for day to day life. Currently I have 80% of my school year paid off and am starting to begin my savings.

That being said, the reason I created this GoFund me is in the hopes that I can raise enough money to help me pay off the school year and allow me to experience as many cultural experiences in South Korea as possible.

All donations will be going to my school fund in order for me to go on educational tours, pay for extra classes, and apply for internships. Funds will also be going to my day to day needs such as transportation, food, drink, medical emergency, clothing, and trips to different cities throughout South Korea.

During my time in Seoul, I will be a full time student and focused on my studies. It is my hope to return with a certificate of fluency by the end of the school year and begin working towards Korean business translation within music and film industries based in both the US and South Korea.
