Charity needs surgery!

I was asked to help a dog who was "hit by a car" in Athens, TN. She was taken to the clinic there and supposedly the owners were located and said to put her down, they couldn't afford the $500 estimate. This poor baby laid in pain all weekend while some of the staff looked for help for her. I agreed to take her thinking the clinic had done diagnostics and it was only around $500 to get her better. I just got off the phone with UT which is where she is now and the cost is 10-12K to do surgery on this dog. She has multiple injuries and they are probably a week old. She ALSO has a shell in her where she has been shot at some point in the past. This girl has been through hell and back during her short life. She has been a wonderful dog even though she must be in terrible pain. She doesn't deserve to die!
