Hi. As you all know, Laura has been diagnosed with B Cell Lymphoma. Up until now she has continued to work full time, lead a large Girl Scout troop, volunteer at her kids school, and try to continue normal life. Chemo has been hard, but it’s working! Some spots have shown they are reacting to chemotherapy!
Next week she will start a series of operations, followed by “the big one” this summer.
This summer (looking at likely June) Laura will undergo a large surgery (we’ve dubbed “the big one”) to remove the remainder of the cancerous areas in her body. This surgery will take approximately 6 hours and Laura will be down for 8-12 weeks before being able to return to work full time.
Laura will then continue chemotherapy for an additional 6-12 months.
Radiation is not off the table, but we are really hoping to avoid it!
The family has decided to create a go fund me to help with the out of pocket cost for the surgical procedure and to cover Laura’s income during recovery. Any donation is greatly appreciated, and all the prayers for a safe operation and a quick recovery. Laura has a history of hard recoveries, so please, please pray for a smooth recovery for her.
Thanks so much,
