Support Marlon Shaw’s Fight for His Life

Donation protected
For those of you who know Marlon Shaw, you’ve likely been helped by him. Perhaps to
speak in public, likely to grow your business, or achieve your life dream. Now, Marlon
needs all of our help.

On the heels of treatment for prostate cancer, he now has an additional diagnosis of
stomach cancer, requiring radiation and likely surgery.

The doctors aren’t giving Marlon or his loved ones any guesses about his survival
chances. It will take all his focus and energy to stay positive, find things daily to be
grateful for, and to get his body’s levels stronger for the treatment and the recovery
afterward.

To say this is a mountain of a climb, is an understatement. It’s more like scaling Mount
Everest TWICE, while the mountain attacks his body with pain and robs him of being
able to absorb food and nutrients, or hydrate his system.

Even for someone as strong and driven as Marlon, it’s not possible for him to run his
business right now. His loved ones have made the decision to break his privacy
discreetly and respectfully, because he needs our help, even if he would never ask for it
himself.

Here is how you can help:

- Donate what you can to help cover living expenses and all the extras that go with a
cancer fight: medications, equipment, therapies, and at worst end-of-life planning.
-Keep positive thoughts about him and his chances.
-Support his need to conserve his energy and respect his privacy.

Update #1, July 15: It's been a full week with a lot of tests.

We don't have results yet but we are hoping for additional information to finalize Marlon's treatment plan, which is currently chemotherapy followed shortly by surgery. The doctors are doing what they can to manage his pain.

Marlon has already started chemo and it is adding to his fatigue. It's also creating a bit of confusion, which luckily isn't constant.

Some good news: he is managing to hydrate better and is absorbing nutrients and this will help him throughout the treatment.

On the not-so-good side: his immune system is compromised and he has caught an infection. The medical team is working on resolving that too!

It's a lot. And it feels overwhelming but less so with everyone who has donated and sent along well wishes...it is truly helping his spirits.

Thank you.
