KHT Sublime Fundraiser for Autism Assessments

This song began with a moment that broke my heart.

I overheard my autistic daughter quietly telling herself she wasn't good enough.

That stayed with me — like a stone in my chest.

So I wrote a chorus that could be a mantra — something you could tell yourself or shout into the sky when it feels like too much. Something that reminds you: you are more than enough. You are sublime.

We're releasing this track alongside a GoFundMe campaign to help two children access private autism assessments — because the wait on the NHS can take years, and those years can be life-altering.

Why It Matters

In England, 212,964 people are currently waiting for an autism assessment (NHS Digital, March 2024).

According to NICE guidelines, no one should wait more than 13 weeks — but 89% wait longer (National Autistic Society, 2023).

In places like Blackpool, Lancashire, the average wait time is a staggering 2.7 years.

Delayed diagnosis hurts. It means:

Missed chances for early intervention

Increased mental health struggles like anxiety and depression

Difficulty accessing support

And profound impacts on identity, self-worth, and quality of life

A study published in Autism (Cassidy et al., 2018) found that 66% of autistic adults who experienced delays in diagnosis reported lifetime suicidal thoughts, alongside high rates of self-injurious behaviour.

Through this GoFundMe, we aim to fund private assessments for two children, so they and their families don’t have to wait years to begin understanding themselves. Every share, every stream, every donation helps.

We’ve personally covered all recording and production costs for the song because we believe so deeply in this cause. Every penny you donate will go directly toward funding autism assessments for children in need. If we exceed our goal, any surplus will be used to help another child access similar support. We’ll be fully transparent with updates along the way.
