In Honor of Artis Holt

We are all deeply saddened by the tragic and sudden loss of our beloved Artis Holt.  Artis is an inspiration to every community he touched from Baltimore to Boston and everywhere in between.  Artis graduated from Merrimack College in North Andover Massachusetts where he left a forever lasting legacy on and off the football field.  Artis was a 4 year starter for the football team; where he earned All-Conference 3 years in a row.  Lightning Bolt Holt as called by his teammates changed the culture of the Merrimack Football Team through his leadership and work ethic.  He undoubtedly made every person on that team not only a better player but a better man and that his why his peers voted him Captain 2 years in a row.   Tough, resilient, fearless, caring, loving, genuine; the man we knew and loved at Merrimack College was a direct reflection of his close knit family and community in Baltimore.  Artis played the game of football for something so much bigger then himself, he played for his mother Ms. Sherrea, his brother Mitch, his cousin Mance...... he played for his family.   Artis was always surrounded by a close group of friends back home in Baltimore that always FaceTimed him while he was at school checking on him, pushing him to be better on and off the field.   He is truly loved by so many. As we sit here and take this time to reflect, we can all reminice of countless stories and memories of how Artis has impacted our lives in a positive way.
