Khnat Primary’s First Ever Computer Lab—Help Make It Happen!
Dear Friends and Supporters,
My name is Somphors Tann, and I am a current graduate student at Harvard Graduate School of Education. I am fundraising on behalf of Mr. Sokheng, the principal of Khnat Primary School in Siem Reap, Cambodia—a place that holds deep personal significance for me.
Why This Matters
Khnat Primary School, located in Khnat Commune, Puok Province, is a low-resource public school serving students from grades 1 to 9. Most students come from low-income farming families, and many have never seen or used a computer before.
Recently, a nonprofit organization, Aide et Action SEA-Cambodia, supported by Action Education, has generously pledged to donate 30 computers and $8,000 to renovate an old classroom into a computer lab. However, this donation comes with a condition: the school must contribute $3,000 to complete the project.
As a school relying on limited government funding, the teachers and principal are struggling to raise this amount. If we cannot meet this goal, the donation agreement will be rescinded, and these students will lose an incredible opportunity to gain digital skills that are crucial for their future.
How You Can Help
We need your support to ensure these students gain access to technology and digital education. Your donation—no matter how big or small—will help us bridge the digital divide and provide these children with opportunities they have never had before.
Every dollar counts. Please consider contributing and sharing this campaign with your networks. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these students.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
With gratitude,
Somphors Tann
