Our precious "little princess" Khlover Smiley, 9 years old, died on Wednesday, May 16 in a tragic accident.    She was such a loving child and full of energy. Khlover enjoyed playing with makeup and styling hair. She enjoyed having her picture taken and taking selfies. She was always happy and smiling. Khlover had her daddy wrapped around her finger. In his eyes she could do no wrong, and he could never say no to her. Her four surviving brothers also grieving for the loss of their sister, who they used to tease.

My name is Catherine Lakatos and I live in California. Khlover Smiley is my great-neice - her father Joseph Smiley is my nephew. I started this Gofundme account to help Joe and his family pay for medical expenses incurred when extraordnary measures were used at the hospital to try to save Khlover. I also wanted to raise funds to try to help with the funeral expenses for her. Joe and Tamsen have four other children to support and any help paying these expenses is greatly appreciated.  The funds will be given to Joe and his wife outside of GoFundMe by his mother in law, Paula Murphy, acting as his beneficiary, at his request.
