Hey guys, I'm Whitney, Khloe's mom. So a little back story. Khloe was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy at the age of 9. Fall of 2020, Khloe caught Covid at college. Over 2021 Khloe continually got worse. On August 10th, Khloe was listed as a status 4 on the heart transplant list with UNOS. On Halloween, Oct 31 at 2:05pm, Khloe received a call, they finally had a heart for her. Of course, we knew something could be wrong with the donor heart. We got her and Monday, November 1st, they wheeled Khloe to the operating room, at 12:02 pm, her transplant began. It was such an emotional roller-coaster. We are so blessed! She was extubated Tuesday morning. She's doing phenomenal. With that being said, we are almost 6 hours from home. Khloe is not allowed to be alone over these next few months. We will be required to stay her in New Orleans for 3-6 months, depending on how she does. During this time, we both have homes and her brothers back in Farmerville we have to make sure is taken care of. A lot of people have asked for a way to help, so we figured this would be easiest. We want to thank everyone for the prayers, the love, and the support, we couldn't do it without everyone.
