Work in Sweden

I have been so blessed to be abroad almost two months!

First Stop: Uganda
In Uganda I was privileged to work with Mission: Moving Mountains (M:MM) in Mbale, Uganda. While there my team and I got to work on some many things!

-We were able to live in villages in both north and south of Mbale. While there we learned culture and language amongst the members of the tribe.

-We were able to participate in business trainings of local community advocates. These advocates are the leaders in the community assisting M:MM in their development projects ranging from healthy home environments to tree planting initiatives to youth bible education.

-Partnered with Children's Restoration Outreach and Jesus Film Ministries by sharing testimonies, songs, food, and the Jesus Film to street kids in both Mbale and Lira. We were also able to fund and paint CRO Mbale!

-Experienced the amazing work The Recreation Project is doing in Gulu to aid in healing war scarred children, as well as local schools, through recreation activities geared to help children see they can overcome obstacles in the midst of fear.

NOW: Sweden
Currently, I am partnering with Stockholm Life Church! Working alongside Phil and Katja Zarns here is what I've been up to:

-Beginning "Summer Girl's Club" a time were girls 10-14 can come make dinner together, do crafts, and discuss how God made them unique, special, and beautiful. Many of these girls come from different nations and need the love of Jesus in their life!

-Summer Youth!
We are partnering with two other churches to continue youth throughout the summer when many youth groups stop due to summer vacation. We think youth are important and want to show them that the church is still their place, even in the summer! Pray for me as I speak on July 3rd!

-Swedish Course!
Through learning the language at the local university I hope to become more conversational in Swedish and make meaningful connections with people throughout the city!

-Lastly, The Zarns are hard at work advocating for the need of Young Adults ministry on college campuses around Sweden and in the church. I was able to help host the first young adults cafe at Nyhem (a 10 day church conference for the Pingst, or pentecostal, in Sweden) and will be traveling to Germany to partcipate in the Students For Christ: Connect conference, in which we will meet with people from all around Europe seeking to reach the youth of this continent!

I am always, always, always in need of your support in prayer and encouragement! Send a prayer, read my blog for weekly updates (hannahontheweekly.blogspot.com), and hit me up on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (@hstodds)

I am still in need of funds to help pay for monthly expenses such as rent, transportation, and airfare to conferences! Please consider giving to my time here! only 1,400 more to go!
