KHEM SAMRITH

Hello Everyone,

My name is Sorin Samrith, it's with the heaviest of hearts that I'm announcing the passing of my dear mother KHEM SAMRITH. She went peacefully in her sleep at our home. She is survived by myself, my older sister, our younger brother, grandchildren, our cousins and loved ones.

My Mak (mother in khmer) is always been the epitome of strength and endurance. She went thru many challenges, obstacles and hardships in her life. I'm sure as we all do. But she was amazing in how she stayed persevering and strong as she could be. She was the best mother she could be and wife to our dad. Who she will now reunite with in heaven. I've always looked to her as strong role model. She had a stroke in her 20s leaving her left side if her body no mobility but it didn't stop her. She did her best being our mother and being a good wife to our father. She has been on dialysis for 3 years with her kidney failure. And this year she was decling more. Her body was getting tired and shutting down. She was in a rehabilitation hospital to get well enough to come home. She came home after 5 months in the hospital in June. But still continued to decline in her health. We just put her in home hospice so she could be home and surrounded by our little family as she wanted. I just want to say "thank you" to everyone who has been praying, sending well wishes and asking about Mama. It really meant a lot to us words simply could not express how blessed and appreciative we are for your kindness.
