Support Peter’s Recovery
Donation protected
As many know Peter suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on 2/10. He initially lost the ability to speak and use his right side. He spent 6 days in ICU and 3 more in med/surg before being discharged to inpatient rehab on 2/19. He worked with speech, OT and PT daily gaining back strength and working on speaking and cognition. He was finally discharged home on 2/28! While being home has been amazing, the length of recovery is unknown. He makes improvements daily but will continue to go to outpatient speech and occupational therapy while also working on things at home. As expected this has left Peter unable to work. The family has received great local support with meals, support for the girls and lots of prayers! The biggest hurdle facing them right now is how to get through the next few months financially on the limited disability he will receive from his job. As imagined with any emergency situation and hospital stay the bills will start coming in, with added costs of having to cover their insurance.
This family is one of the most loving, caring and giving families I have ever known. It’s time for us to wrap our supportive arms around them and show them generosity. Every bit will not only help this family but it will also show them how much we love and support them. And of course prayers are always welcomed. This family has a big faith and prayers are invaluable. Thank you.
