Fear of losing our home

My name is Heidi and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support during an incredibly challenging time for my family.

My husband, TJ dedicated 26 years of his life working for a company. After being made redundant, a devastating blow in itself, he suffered a life-threatening brain hemorrhage requiring emergency brain surgery. The aftermath has been a long and arduous journey.

He bravely attempted to start his own small business, hoping to regain some financial stability. However, the ongoing side effects of his medical condition, including a permanent ringing in his ears, overwhelming tiredness and constant headaches amongst other symptoms, have made it nearly impossible for him to work consistently.

I work and live abroad, doing my best to support our family. Sadly, my income alone is not enough to cover the mounting expenses back home. We own our family home, a place filled with cherished memories. With the rising cost of living and the added burden of TJ's essential, lifelong medications, we are struggling to keep up.

We explored the possibility of accessing his pension early, but were told it's only available in cases of terminal illness or a life expectancy of one year or less. This news has added immense stress to an already overwhelming situation.

The doctors have warned us that another brain hemorrhage could be fatal leaving our 4 children and granddaughter without a father and grandad. The constant worry about his health, coupled with the fear of losing our home, is unbearable. My greatest fear, besides losing my husband, is the prospect of my children becoming homeless.

We are humbly asking for your help to ensure we can keep our family home and pay for his essential medications.
