DeeLiteFul Goes to Mexico

Dear friends and family,
As many of you may know, I'm a caring clown.  In March of 2014 AND 2015, I had the opportunity (nah the privilege.... thanks to many of you) to tour & clown with THE Dr. “Patch” Adams in Guatemala. 
Wow, what an experience!
This year however, I am presented with something new and exciting.  As most of you know, when faced with a choice ... the same path Guatemala or go somewhere new and exciting... I go for the NEW and exciting!!! 
The path less traveled and all.
In February of 2016 for the FIRST TIME EVER!, Dr. "Patch"Adams is going to Mexcio and I have been invited to join his merry band of clowns. 
At first glance these tours look like fun, but please note, it is hard to "clown" knowing that I am only bringing temporary moments of joy and hope to the patients and orphans we encounter.  Their unfortunate situations can not be reversed by a joke or pun,  but the memories created can replay in an endless loop and help ease the pain and suffering.  Each time I join Patch my clown batteries are recharged.  I find that loving unconditionaly and without judgement is a learned skill.
A skill I have used back home at the various hospital clown rounds and events that I go to.

I am planning to go with Patch to Mexcio in February 2016.

My goal is to raise $2000 ($1350 room/board/meals for the week+ $650 flight) to cover my trip and buy some toys/trinkets to give to the children I meet.
I would greatly appreciate any help.

The Trip:

Gesundheit! Institute and the School for Designing a Society are glad to present a new extraordinary event of clowning and caring.
Bringing for the first time a Gesundheit clowning event in Mexico in collaboration with IBERO University of Mexico City and Risaterapia organization.

The Experience:

Be part of the group of international clowns that together with a group of local clowns and university students clowns will explore performance and clowning as a strategy for caring, with daily visits to hospitals, shelters, mental-health institutions, streets and for the first time also a university campus! With the unique opportunity to participate to a full-day clowning at IBERO and lectures in the auditorium by Patch Adams, Susan Parenti, Mark Enslin and Dario Solina.
All of this along with reflections and workshops in clown technique, love strategy, care and considerations on culture and recent history of Mexico.
