Khayla's Trip To South America!

Hello everyone! My name is Khayla and I am a 3rd year Marketing and International Business major at the University of Georgia. I have always had a passion for international learning and the Spanish language since high school, and I was honored with the acceptance into the Terry College of Business-Business in South America study abroad trip this coming May. This trip will give me the opportunity to travel to cities in Peru and Chile and learn from business leaders about the many opportunities and challenges of South American markets. This will be my first endeavor in traveling abroad so I will be able to experience new cuisine and culture. I am thrilled for this journey that I am taking, and I know I will grow so much from the program. I will learn that who I am and where I came from is only a small part of the world. I want to be able to become a more understanding individual and embrace the beauty of another culture. This trip will not only provide personal growth but educational as well. I will be fulfilling requirements for my international business co-major and will complete my international immersion requirement.

This amazing opportunity has proven to be costly, and I have been working hard to come up with the necessary means for the trip. I am asking for assistance with raising money that would be used toward my program fee, airfare, housing, and miscellaneous fees while abroad. This is an estimate of what I would need but as I continue to hear back from scholarships, I have applied for I will hope to drop the target need. Thank you in advance for your donation and God Bless!
